PASTOR APPRECIATION

"How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What would we do without our pastors? Who would we call in a time of desperation in the middle of the night, on holidays, when he’s on vacation? He’s always there. He gets a very bad rap at times, if he’s not at our beck and call, in our selfishness, he’s not up to par, he doesn’t do this or that. We expect his life to revolve around us. His life should revolve around Christ first and foremost. We expect too much from him sometimes. We forget that many times when he’s with one of us his family is left alone. We forget that he may not be feeling well, he may be tired. He stresses and burns out just like we do. When he does we say,” What does he do that get him burned out?” Well he doesn’t just deal with one person or many times not even just the people in the church, but others too. He also has a family. He has to be preacher, counselor, peace maker, referee, chef, father, husband, encourager, and many other things. Many times we run to him with things we really could handle ourselves. So, if you haven’t said, ” thank you”, to your pastor yet, today is a good day to do so. If you want to bless him with a gift, I think the best gift to give him is free: spiritual growth. Thank you Pastor!

This video was made for another pastor but it applies to all pastors.
